The Brief EAP Treatment Stigma Scale (BETSS-4) is a four-item scale designed to assess an individual's perception of stigma in relation to receiving help from employee assistance program (EAP) counselling services.
Analyses conducted with working Canadians indicated that the scale has high reliability and validity and is suitable for the assessment of perceptions of EAP treatment stigma in working populations.
Higher scores correlate with a lower self-reported likelihood of accessing EAP counselling services in the event of personal problems.
